Still using a high-fired porcelain, Carolyn's
new sage-colored glaze greatly enhances the intricate slip-trailing
that has been the center of her work for several years. Very
stone-like in appearance, the sage glaze contains soft greens,
flashes of gold and hues of blue. The surface has a high sheen,
and the textures are a bit more prominent. The sage glaze can
be ordered as an alternate surface on any piece she does. The
ware is still watertight, food safe, and microwave safe, but
not ovenproof.

This bowl has intricate detail in parallel patterns along the
inside rim. The top rim is cut in a scalloped pattern and accented
with varying sized dots of slip. The inside surface is also patterned
with slip, trailing toward the bottom of the bowl. |

These bowls are formed from soft slabs,
have an undulating rim, are detailed with slip-trailing inside
and outside, and can be round or slightly oval depending on
the will of the porcelain and the heat of the fire.

Globe Vase

This round vase features a combination
of slip dots and impressed patterns of lacey slip-trailing at
the shoulder which surrounds the vase. Each piece is unique,
depending hot the design unfolds as I create it, but they are
all extremely intricate.
